asking to resign to aviod termination

I have gotten one to many reviews with the same "opportunity" on them. Meaning I was told I am not improving in these areas and termination is likely to follow.

If you resign in anticipation of discharge .. you most likely will not be given unemployment .. but I'm sure the employer would love for you to do this.
