Can I collect unemployment and social security at the same time in Florida?

Yes I was let go from my job due to cut backs and am on social security but do not make enough to pay my medical and bills and have been looking for a job and cannot get one. Can I still collect unmployment even if I get social security?

Yes, you can in Florida. Please take a look at Table 5-17 (please be patient) this chart is published by the USDOL and as you'll see not many states reduce unemployment benefits if an individual is receiving social security.
