Can i collect unemployment if i have been fired for

by shelia
(detroit, MI)

I work at a payday advance company and i lost a check. I searched everywhere, i looked through the camera for that day and it is showing me put up the check, but it is no where to be found. we are suppose to count the checks everyday but that is never done. i thought i had to be written up before i could be fired help

Hi Sheila,

It depends on the rule violation. Some rules carry a consequence of immediate termination.

Check the policy book and find out what it says.

You also didn't say what you were fired for exactly.
