Can I receive an unemployment extension if I had been fired?

I originally received unemployment after being fired, but now that I filed for the extension this lady told me that I had been denied because I was fired, not laid off. I don't understand how I can receive unemployment for being fired, but not receive an extension?

Hi,

I do not understand that myself. What state are you in?

You should receive a determination which you could appeal.
