Former Employer won't send W2

by Mark
(Ohio)

What do I do if my former employer has not sent my W2 so I can file my taxes from the previous year? How much time does he have to send it to me? He currently lost his appeal to deny my benefits from the initial determination and I do not know yet if he will appeal further.

Hi,

If memory serves, I believe he has until February 1st to get them out.

W2's and employer compliance with IRS regulations aren't anything I know anymore about than most folks though .. since it is a separate employment issue than unemployment benefits.
