How can I tell if I have been accepted to unemployment so I can stop worrying

by Donald
(Telford, pa, united states)

As I am waiting for my acceptance or denial letter..... Is there any way I can tell if I will be accepted or not? I received my visa card without applying so I was wondering if that was a good sign that I will be accepted... I have alot of bills and very worried!

I honestly don't know if PA has an online tool to check the status of a claim or not .. some states do.

Maybe someone in PA will offer an answer.

Your visa/debit card
by: Peggy Marie Johnson

Hi Donald,

I just wanted to let you know that I was sent my card through the mail right after I first signed up at the location for the benefits. They sent it to me in the mail regardless of if I had won my appeal or not since there is a number on the back of the card where you can check the balance on the account I called it thinking I was accepted but that was not the case since it said balance $0.

My boyfriend and I both had the same situation. This is the time you should go online and if you opt to have automatic deposit, which quite frankly is so much better, then you should do so. I just wanted to let you know that this is what happened to me so I don't think it matters or not if they decided but they may send them automatically. Again, we both were accepted for benefits after our appeals so hopefully that could be a good sign, but instead of going crazy waiting like I did, I just contacted the center I applied for benefits at and asked for the status.

I know how you are feeling and I hope you get accepted! I wish you all the best during your stressful time.

Chris gives good advise and this is a wonderful sight she provides and I am a regular on her site to view how others are dealing with their unemployment. I hope you don't mind my statement to you!

Take Care!
