Unemployed Stories

I quit because the employer increased my hours. Am I eligible to collect California unemployment benefits?

by Bob Reilly
(Los Angeles, Ca USA)

I was asked to change my working hours. I was working 10am-8pm Monday - Saturday. I was then asked to work at 6am-6pm and work one extra day on Saturday. I was a salaried employee and signed an agreement when hired to only work 7.5 hours a day for five days. This put a big burden on my family and I decided to quit. Am I eligible to collect unemployment?
