What if a teachers receives unemployment after they were laid off in June and then rehired in august, would they be expected to pay it back.


If you lost at hearing due to an employer appeal and at the hearing the employer proved there was
"reasonable assurance" of returning to work .. you may have to pay back the benefits or if there is a provision which excludes you from collecting during school breaks.

The statutes for school employees can be very different .. you should check your state's statutes for more details about your circumstances.
