Why didn't i get my unemployment check?

I called into the unemployment to file my claim on Wednesday. Like always. and come Friday there was no check deposited into my checking like usual. Why? and what number for Illinois could i call to figure this out?

I have no idea why your unemployment check wasn't direct deposited, but per your request .. I did look for something that might help you figure it out.

I found a PDF regarding direct deposits and there is a phone number listed in question #9.

Not sure when this post was made, but my husband also didnt get his. His certification date was 11/09/11. We expected a deposit on 11/11/11 but nothing came. I figured it may have something to do with Veterans Day, but it's now 11/12/11 and still nothing. Of course all I can do it sit here with a negative balance in my checking account and wait until Monday to find out what's going on.

Did anyone else not get a deposit?

I think Veterans Day is a bank holiday .. is it possible that's the hold up?

They say they paid us, they didnt!

According to the Illinois website, it was deposited on the 10th. Hate to tell them but it most certainly was not. Now we are looking at over $100 in services fees for all of the automatic payments that were paid out on the 12th, and my husband is stuck out of town. No money, no food, no way to put gas in the car to get home.

I'm fuming!

Same here. was supposed to get it direct deposited but nothing. figured it was a fluke because of Veterans day. Hopefully we get it soon. Dont really have much at the moment.

I also have not received my payment and thought it had something to do with the election day and the holiday, but hope they issuse them soon!

I certified on Monday 11/21/11 like I normal and come Wednesday 11/23/11.....nothing direct deposited, wondered if I goofed up with the certification so I tried again Thursday morning since I couldn't until then and the systems says I've already certified and it is in process. Now we are over drawn at the bank because of auto deducts. I still don't have an answer and looks like I won't until Monday when I can call but getting thru on the phone is like a trip down insanity lane. Anyone find out anything from the previous weeks?

I certified almost 3 weeks ago. Instead of my pay , I got a letter saying I had to do a phone interview on 12/7. I did the interview, and the guy said that it would take about 48 hrs to process my pay. It is now 12/16 and no pay.

Have you called them? I know that interviewer has to issue another determination as well before benefits are cleared. Have you gotten one of those yet?

Have you called this person to find out if that has been done and if so, why you haven't received your back benefits yet?

No check for 1/26/12

I was wondering if anyone out there who goes through the Harvey office, did not get their automatic deposit on 1/26/12.
I started work (thank God) but there is a holding week and my hours are the same as the unemployment office so now Im nervous to ask for time off to get this straight.
